Research & Development at Leesys - Upgrade - 07/2016

The latest upgrade of our ISO/TS16949 certificate including the Research & Development department clearly states the approach of Leesys as a highly qualified Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider. The Research & Development (R&D) department has been implemented one year ago. In this context, the audits of our management system according to ISO9001 / ISO/TS16949 (Quality) and ISO14001 / ISO50001 (Energy & Environment) were performed by TÜV-SUED and confirmed the existing certificates.

During the audit of the quality management system (QM system) of Leesys GmbH beside the surveillance audit according to ISO/TS16949:2009 (Quality Management system in the Automotive Industry) again a surveillance audit according to ISO9001:2008 (Quality Management System) was conducted. Through highest standards and consistent quality orientation, we support our customers in various industries; next Automotive mainly industrial electronics, telecommunications, smart home and healthcare.

 

With the successful completion of these audits Leesys confirmed its quality approach "Made in Germany".

 

 

Upgrade Research & Development Department

 

The R&D department headed by Dr. Holger Pastillé is responsible to secure the high quality standards in the product development process to our customers. He is responsible for all strategic decisions and development activities and coordinates the work of highly qualified staff in the R&D department.

 
The development process (QM system) runs according to precisely defined rules. First, when a customer request is received from internal and external side, Leesys R&D analyses this request and the possibilities to implement the customer requests into real products. Following this, a time schedule is created and the individual projects are distributed.

 
Most important is the permanent and complete documentation of the processes.

Quality Management

 

The quality management standard ISO 9001 is nationally and internationally the most widespread and important standard in quality management. Certification according to ISO 9001 forms the basis for continuous improvement of a company and its internal specific quality management system. In general, the ISO 9001 certification is possible for any company, regardless of size and sector representation.

 

The ISO 9001 describes the minimum requirements for quality management systems of companies. As a consequence, all customer and product requests are handled by a certain standard procedure. This has many advantages:
