The Manufacturing Excellence Award (MX Award) is a benchmarking competition that recognizes best practices from manufacturing companies.
Maintaining and securing added value in Germany - the MX Manufacturing Excellence activities are dedicated to this objective every year. Supporting companies in coping with the challenges, stimulating their self-analysis process and showing them strengths and successful solutions is the main task of the Manufacturing Excellence Award benchmarking competition that was transferred to Germany in 2004.
Leesys had already successfully submitted an application for the MX Award in 2018 and won the "Logistics and Network Management" category.
“Participating two years ago enabled Leesys to conduct an in-depth analysis of the company. The detailed feedback from the jury highlighted the potential and provided valuable information that will enable Leesys to become even more effective and customer-oriented in the future. Leesys implemented this information and further expanded the digital infrastructure, further refined the vertical and horizontal integration and was able to gain a 360 ° view of the company from the data obtained”, says Dr. Arnd Karden, Managing Director of Leesys. "For this reason, we are happy to face the competition again."
The idea of the MX Award, which supports exemplary company success methods, has its origins in the UK. The concept of the MX Award was transferred to Germany with the establishment of the Association for Production and Logistics Management (VPLM) e.V. in 2004 and the establishment of an identical research project at the Department of Logistics of the Technical University of Berlin.
Since 2015, the Manufacturing Excellence Award has been under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
