Do you already know what you want to become? This question is asked very often at the age of 15, and usually answered with a shrug - after all, there are countless possibilities.
Help offers Saxony's largest initiative for career orientation SCHAU REIN! In no other week of the year so many students are at the same time on their feet to get to know companies from the inside. On site, they can talk to trainees, try out practical things and find out what is important for a successful application.
This also applies to Leesys.
On the 12th and 13th of March 2018, two booked events of the vocational orientation "Schau rein" - Week of open companies took place at Leesys. Ten pupils from grades eight and nine took the offer and learned about the profession of electronics technician for industrial engineering and the profession of process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology. Michael Kothe from the Siemens Professional Education (SPE) came to answer the questions about the application process and training at the vocational school. Siemens Professional Education (SPE) acts as a training center for both training occupations.
Fitted with overalls and overshoes and many questions, it took two hours through state-of-the-art manufacturing at Leesys. In plastics processing, the profession of process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology was presented in particular.
Sven Sachsenröder, an experienced colleague in plastics processing, was able to report that molded parts are also being manufactured as "sandwiches" in plastics processing at Leesys. Although the molded parts only have the three-layered construction in common with the popular snack bread, the sandwich injection molding process is definitely memorable.
We hope to have helped you to answer the mysterious question about the career aspirations and look forward to seeing you again as a trainee at Leesys.
In 2019 the SCHAU-REIN! - Week of open companies will be held from 11 to 16 March.
